Popular with visitors, Strokkur is one of the most reliable geysers in the world spouting off every few minutes. Its right next door to the original "Geysir" after which all all geysers are named. Sadly it is not as active or powerful as it use to be (it used to shoot water up to 80m in the air!) - apparently people used to throw rocks into it to try to set it off but that clogged it up instead.
