Dettifoss is said to be the most powerful waterfall in Europe. Set in the forboding ancient flood plain in Northern Iceland, they dont come any more rugged than this. Normally, I cheer any rainbow I manage to capture..in this case though, it almost makes it a pretty looking thing instead of looking like a beast of a waterfall :) The view is from the western side of the river - this was the better road - I think the eastern side might provide a better view.
